What is M.E.?

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis is…

  • immune, metabolic, neurological, and cardiac dysfunctions
  • persistent, profound, and disabling fatigue
  • unrefreshing sleep
  • post-exertional malaise
  • orthostatic intolerance (difficulty standing)
  • cognitive impairment
  • also called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

M.E. affects over 400,000 Canadians but receives only 52 cents per patient per year for research. More research is needed now to find a cure.
